What is BPMScan?

BPMScan is a collection of free, browser-based music tools designed for DJs, producers, and musicians. Every tool works directly in your browser with no account required.

Our Tools

• BPM Finder — Upload any audio file to detect its tempo using beat-tracking algorithms.
• Key Finder — Detect the musical key using chroma analysis and Krumhansl-Kessler key profiles, with Camelot code mapping.
• Metronome — High-precision online metronome using the Web Audio API's lookahead scheduling for sample-accurate timing.
• Tap BPM — Tap along to music to find its BPM with a rolling average algorithm.
• Camelot Wheel — Interactive harmonic mixing reference showing compatible keys for smooth transitions.
• Pitch Detector — Real-time pitch detection from your microphone using YIN autocorrelation.
• Audio Cutter — Visual waveform editor for trimming audio files, with format conversion support.

Technology

Client-side tools (metronome, tap BPM, Camelot wheel, pitch detector) run entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Server-side tools (BPM finder, key finder, audio cutter) process your files securely — uploads are deleted immediately after analysis.

Privacy

BPMScan does not collect personal data, require accounts, or use cookies for tracking. Uploaded audio files are processed in memory and deleted immediately. We use no analytics beyond basic server logs.
